About me

Constitutional Law and Human Rights Attorney| Social Justice Advocate| Community Leader

Nastassia S. Robinson is a passionate human rights attorney and advocate committed to creating equitable societies where all individuals can thrive with dignity and fairness. Her expertise spans legal advocacy, public policy, and community empowerment, with a particular focus on advancing the rights of marginalized groups across the Caribbean.

Nastassia is a co-founder of the Access to Justice Task Force in Jamaica, where she collaborates with attorneys, civil society organizations, and advocates to address systemic injustices, particularly concerning mentally ill inmates deemed unfit to plea. Her work focuses on securing their release, seeking appropriate psychiatric care, and advocating for reparative justice.

A dynamic community leader, Nastassia co-leads initiatives such as Community Care Day, a groundbreaking event celebrating resilience and pride within Jamaica’s LGBTQ+ community. Through these efforts, she bridges gaps between underserved populations and essential resources, fostering safer and more supportive spaces for advocacy and empowerment.

In addition to her legal and advocacy work, Nastassia is a seasoned facilitator, empowering individuals through capacity-building sessions like Navigating the Court System with Confidence. These workshops equip survivors of gender-based violence, persons living with HIV/AIDS, and other key populations with the tools needed to self-advocate and navigate legal systems with confidence.

Nastassia’s work reflects her unwavering commitment to justice, whether she is facilitating workshops or engaging stakeholders to rethink community safety. Her advocacy has also taken her to international platforms, where she applies her expertise to global issues, including environmental justice and intersectional human rights.

With a vision for transforming lives through legal empowerment and systemic change, Nastassia is a proud advocate for social justice who believes in the power of community-led solutions to drive meaningful progress.

When Nastassia isn’t drafting policy recommendations or Court Submissions, you’ll find her building alliances and mentoring young advocates, inspiring the next generation of change-makers.
